1.3    The Ordering process

The Ordering process is the same for the Website and our App and starts from the shopping cart, by clicking on the button „Checkout“.
If you already have a customer account, you can sign in with your email address and password.
Alternatively, you can choose to place your order as a guest or create a new account.

To continue as a guest, you will be asked to provide your name, contact details, and select a shipping method. Required fields are marked as such. If the delivery address differs from the billing address, you will need to provide this information as well.
Clicking the button “Continue to payment method” will take you to the next step, where you can choose one of the available payment options.

If you choose an online payment method (e.g., credit card, paypal etc.), you will be redirected to the corresponding payment provider to complete your transaction securely.

By clicking “Continue to review & pay”, you reach the final step of the order process. There you can once again review all your information, the items selected, and the total price. If necessary, corrections can still be made. You may also use the “Edit” function to adjust your bag contents.

By clicking the “Buy Now” button, you submit a binding offer to purchase the items in your shopping cart.

2.    Legal Accessibility Requirements and How we Comply:

2.1    Legal Accessibility Requirements

Websites and mobile applications that allow users to order and pay for products online must meet legal accessibility standards to ensure usability for all, including people with disabilities.
This requires a design that supports independent access and interaction, also when using assistive technologies. The key principles are:
•    Content must be presented in ways all users can access
•    Navigation and actions must work regardless of physical or cognitive limitations
•    Layout and language must be clear and consistent
•    The website/application must work reliably across devices and assistive technologies
These principles are reflected in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

2.2    How we Comply

Our Website meets applicable legal accessibility requirements for onlineshops by complying with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, with the following exceptions relating to third-party tools:
•    Pick-up / Drop-off Finder (checkout): Partial compliance due to missing ARIA attributes and form labels in the interactive map.
→ Resolution planned during 2025
•    Returns Platform: Partial compliance due to missing alt texts on images and unlabeled form fields.
→ Resolution planned during 2025.
•    Transactional emails: Partial compliance due to some content in automated messages not being fully optimized for accessibility yet.
→ Resolution planned during 2025.

Our App is operated on a third-party platform and is therefore in large parts dependent on functionalities provided by this platform for all customers. The App meets applicable legal accessibility requirements for mobile applications allowing for onlineshopping by complying with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, with the following exceptions and in-progress improvements:
•    Media Gallery (Android): Partial compliance due to carousel indicators in the Product Detail View not being tappable, relying solely on swipe gestures.
→ Resolution planned during 2025.
•    Input Form Error Indications (Android): Currently, form fields with errors are identified only by color and overall error message. Icons and text to be added to improve error indications.
 → Resolution planned during 2025.
•    Input Form Error Specificity (Both platforms): Error messages are not always sufficiently descriptive.
 → Resolution planned during 2025.
•    Autofill and Credential Management (Android): Autofill, password suggestions, and password vaults are not consistently supported.
→ Full support will be added in 2025.
•    Video Playback Controls (Both platforms): Auto-playing videos longer than 5 seconds lack accessible pause/play controls.
 → Resolution planned during 2025.
•    Motion Reduction (Both platforms): App animations do not currently respond to system-level “reduce motion” settings.
 → Resolution planned during 2025.
•    Transactional emails: Partial compliance due to some content in automated messages not being fully optimized for accessibility yet.
→ Resolution planned during 2025.

We assessed the accessibility of our Website and our App by the following means:
•    Third party audit
•    Automated tools and manual testing
•    Testing by users with disabilities to ensure real-world accessibility

Our Website and App are designed to be compatible with the most used assistive technologies, such as NVDA, VoiceOver and TalkBack in combination with up to date web browsers. Please note that not using the latest version of either assistive technologies or browser may cause issues with accessibility. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.

3.    Feedback and Contact Information

If you experience any accessibility barriers or need information in an alternative format, please contact us: [email protected]

4.    Supervisory Authority

A supervisory authority will be responsible for monitoring accessibility on this Website and in our App. The responsible authority differs depending on the country.
•    DE: Marktüberwachungsstelle der Länder für die Barrierefreiheit von Produkten und Dienstleistungen
•    FR: Direction générale de la concurrence, de la consommation et de la répression des fraudes DGCCRF
•    NL: Autoriteit Consument & Markt (ACM)
